What do I need to do before I can solicit and sell Gateway HealthSM Medicare Advantage products?
Agents must be contracted, licensed, certified (fully credentialed), and appointed in order to solicit and sell Gateway HealthSM products. See the FMO / External Agent Guide for complete details.
Gateway Agent Agreement
Each Agent representing Gateway must sign Gateway’s Agent Agreement.
Errors and Omissions (E&O) Coverage
Each Agent representing Gateway must carry and maintain proof of E&O coverage (may also be known as professional liability insurance). You must be able to provide documentation upon request.
All Agents must be licensed in their state of residence and in all states the Agent will solicit and sell. An Agent is responsible for maintaining an active license(s), including all educational requirements.
Sales Training and Certification
Gateway requires that each Agent complete Gateway product training, and either America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) or Gorman Health Group (Gorman) certification annually.
Contact your FMO Gateway HealthSM (Gateway) currently contracts with Field Marketing Organizations (FMOs) for the sales and marketing of Gateway Medicare Advantage Plans. FMOs must meet eligibility requirements for sales and marketing partnerships. General Agents and independent producers interested in selling Gateway’s Medicare products must be contracted with a Gateway-contracted FMO.
Agents wishing to solicit and sell Gateway products must submit their request through their affiliated FMO.
