
Meet Gateway Health Plan®'s Medical Directors.....
Robert S. Mirsky, MD, MMM, FAAFP
Effective June 28, 2007, Robert S. Mirsky, MD, MMM, FAAFP has joined Gateway Health Plan® as Vice President/Chief Medical Officer. Before joining Gateway Health Plan®, Dr. Mirsky was Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida’s (BCBSF) Senior Medical Director for Professional Programs. Prior to that, Dr. Mirsky was Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida’s Corporate Medical Director, West and Central Regions, having started at BCBSF as Medical Director, Southwest Region. Dr. Mirsky previously served as Chief Medical Officer, Tenet Network Management, a division of Tenet Florida Health Systems. Prior to that, Dr. Mirsky was Regional Medical Director of SPI Managed Care/First Medical Corporation.
Dr. Mirsky completed his postgraduate training in Family Practice at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Yonkers, NY, where he was Chief Resident. He was Resident, Family Practice at Highland Hospital/University of Rochester. Dr. Mirsky holds a Master of Medical Management from Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and a Doctorate of Medicine cum laude from SUNY Downstate in Brooklyn, New York.
Dr. Mirsky is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. His memberships include Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honors Society and American College of Physician Executives. Dr. Mirsky is also a member of the Florida Academy of Family Physicians, where he served on the Quality Practice Management Committee, and is a member of the Florida Medical Association. Dr. Mirsky is Board Certified in Family Practice, practicing for several years in New York and Florida.
Maria E. Moutinho, MD, MMM, FAAP
Dr. Moutinho is a Medical Director at Gateway Health Plan®. Prior to joining Gateway Health Plan®, Dr. Moutinho was in Pediatric rotation practice with the Fallon Clinic, Worchester, MA, the Dr. Rukmini Kenia practice, Westfield, MA, Mercy Medical Center, Springfield, MA, and Deaconness-Waltham Hospital, Waltham, MA. Prior to this assignment, Dr. Moutinho was a full time Pediatric physician at the Medical West Associates, Inc, in Chicopee, MA.
Dr. Moutinho received her Doctorate of Medicine at the Meharry Medical College, Nashville, TN, her residency at the Pediatric Baystate Medical Center Hospital, Springfield, MA, and her Masters of Medical Management Degree at Tulane University Medical Center. Dr. Moutinho is Board Certified with the American Board of Pediatrics and the Board of Registration, Commonwealth of Massachusetts. She received her Certificate of Medical Management with the American College of Physician Executives, Tulane University.
Dr. Moutinho is a member of the American Medical Association, the Massachusetts Medical Society/Hampden District Medical Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American College of Physician Executives.
Caesar A. DeLeo, MD, MHSA
Dr. DeLeo is a Medical Director, joining Gateway Health Plan® in 2005. Previously, he'd been a Medical Director for HealthAmerica in Pittsburgh since 2001 where he provided support to Pharmacy, Sales and Marketing, Provider Relations, Credentialing and Utilization Management/Quality Improvement programs. Prior to that, Dr. DeLeo was from Chicago and CIGNA HealthCare of Illinois since 1996 where he had multiple responsibilities including Development and Operations of Disease Management programs. During his career, Dr. DeLeo participated in multiple successful NCQA accreditation reviews, chaired numerous local and regional committees, and served on CIGNA’s National Technology Assessment Council and Coventry Healthcare’s National Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
Dr. DeLeo has practiced medicine in Michigan and Pennsylvania with Emergency Physicians Medical Group and in Pennsylvania with the Geisinger Medical Group. He has also served on the community board and has been Medical Director of Hospice St. John in Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Scranton, Pennsylvania, Dr. DeLeo is a graduate of Lehigh University, Jefferson Medical College and the University of Michigan’s School of Public Health. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, Pennsylvania.
Dr. DeLeo is board certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Physician Executives.
Edwin J. Kairis, MD
Dr. Ed Kairis is a Medical Director with Gateway Health Plan®. Prior to joining Gateway Health Plan® he served for 10 years in the Department of Pediatrics at Allegheny General Hospital, primarily working with outpatients and teaching medical students.
Dr. Kairis is a graduate of Washington and Jefferson College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Kairis completed his residency at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Dr. Kairis is Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
Nicholas P. DiTullio, MD
Dr. Nicholas DiTullio provides part time support to Gateway Health Plan® as a Physician Advisor. In addition, Dr. DiTullio actively practices general Internal Medicine in which he is Board Certified. Dr. DiTullio is President of Fatigati-Nalin and Associates, and a Medical Director of Manor Care Bethel Park Skilled Nursing facility.
Dr. DiTullio is a graduate of Saint Vincent College, received his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and did his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
Dr. DiTullio is Board Certified with the American Board of Internal Medicine, and is a member of the American Medical Association.
Barbara Negrini, MD, MPH
Dr. Negrini provides part time support to Gateway Health Plan® as a Pediatric Physician Advisor. In addition, Dr. Negrini is a staff physician at Tri-State Pediatrics (Heritage Valley Health System) and actively practices pediatrics in which she is Board Certified. Prior to that, she was employed at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in the general academic pediatric division.
Dr. Negrini is a (Phi Beta Kappa) graduate of the University of Michigan, and received her medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She did her residency in Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Dr. Negrini is Board Certified with the American Board of Pediatrics, and is a member of American Academy of Pediatrics and the Ambulatory Pediatric Association.
Ronald O. Monah, MD Dr. Monah is a Physician Advisor of Gateway Health Plan®, providing Medical Management support. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians. In addition, he is in clinical practice of Internal Medicine on Pittsburgh's North Side and is on the active staff of Allegheny General Hospital and UPMC Passavant Hospital.
Following undergraduate studies at Howard University, Dr. Monah graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, IN, where he also completed an Internal Medicine Residency. Dr. Monah completed a fellowship in Cardiology at Montefiore Hospital and at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He also completed a fellowship in Hypertension at Allegheny General Hospital.
