PITTSBURGH – Sept. 23, 2020 – Gateway Health Plan, Inc. (“Gateway Health”), a leading managed care organization dedicated to caring for the “total health” of its members, today announced it is launching the Gateway Health Wholecare Tour across the state of Pennsylvania.

The Gateway Health Wholecare Tour is a mobile tour that will provide free personal protection equipment (PPE) kits, health education and resources to underserved communities. The tour will engage community members on various aspects of Social Determinants of Health, including financial literacy, nutrition, physical and mental health. The tour begins on September 24 and is scheduled to make approximately 40 stops in 14 counties across the Commonwealth.

Every tour stop will include a variety of activities that may include, but are not limited to:

  • Interactive fitness challenges
  • Virtual reality experiences focused on themes such as meditation, museums, and traveling to different parts of the world
  • Activities to practice smart nutrition
  • Financial literacy and wellness advice
  • Health giveaways including masks and hand sanitizer
