Renew Your Medical Assistance

Don’t Let You or Your Family Go Without Coverage.

Did you know Medical Assistance benefits must be renewed every 12 months? Don’t take the chance of missing out on healthcare coverage. Make sure you renew on time to avoid gaps in coverage. That way you and your loved ones get the care you need, when you need it. And while Gateway Health is unable to process your renewal request, our qualified Member Services team can help you with any questions to ensure that you do not lose your health coverage.



How to Renew Coverage

To keep Medical Assistance benefits open, this is what you must do:

  • When it comes time to renew your coverage you will receive a renewal packet from the County Assistance Office (CAO).
  • The packet will include forms that you will need to complete and return to the CAO.
  • It is very important for you to return the forms to the CAO by the due date in your renewal packet.
  • A self-addressed stamped envelope will be included for your convenience.
  • As an added convenience you may also renew online at www.compass.state.pa.us. Instructions on how to use the COMPASS website to renew online will be included in your packet.


Important Things to Remember

  • It is important to tell your Caseworker if you have moved.
  • You can call the Statewide Customer Service Center and speak to a Caseworker to change
  • your address and telephone number.
  • You can call Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM until 5:00 PM.
  • The telephone number for the Statewide Customer Service Center is 1-877-395-8930.
  • Philadelphia residents should call the Philadelphia Customer Service Center at (215)560-7226.
