COVID-19 Vaccine: Expanded Eligibility and Scheduling an Appointment

UPDATE FROM THE PA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH: Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine Fully Approved For Use In 12- To 15-Year-Olds

We hope that you are staying healthy and safe. We are reaching out with important reminders about the COVID-19 vaccine. All Pennsylvania adults are eligible to be vaccinated. So are adolescents ages 12-17.

Many state COVID-19 restrictions are also being lifted. Now is an important time to get vaccinated. Thank you to all members who have already received the vaccine!

If you or someone you know has not been vaccinated –

Remember, the vaccine is free of chargeYou will not pay any out of pocket costs.

Some vaccines require two doses. Don’t forget your appointment for your second dose, if required!

Pennsylvania is lifting certain COVID-19 restrictions. New guidance about wearing masks has also been issued.

Homebound Members – Additional Assistance is Available from Gateway
Homebound members can contact Gateway Health directly if they require any assistance with getting the vaccine. Please use the phone numbers below. Members can also call 211 to connect with local resources or their local Area Agency on Aging.

Vaccine Safety
The COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective. Millions of people in the U.S. have received COVID-19 vaccines. These vaccines have undergone the most intensive safety monitoring in U.S. history. They will be an important tool to help stop the pandemic. This is according to the CDC.

It's especially important for you to get the COVID-19 vaccine if you are 65 or older. Older adults are at a higher risk for severe illness from COVID-19. This is according to the CDC. Learn more here.
